Barbecued Chuck Steak

4 4 ˝ lbs. Chuck steak
Meat tenderizer
1 medium onion
1 clove garlic
2 tbls. Salad or olive oil
˝ tsp. Dried basil
˝ tsp. Hickory salt (optional)
˝ tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Pepper
1 tsp. Sugar
1 can (1 lb.) tomatoes
1 can 8oz-tomato sauce

Tenderize meat. Sauté onion and garlic in hot oil until golden and tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring, to boiling point; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.

To serve: Slice thinly on diagonally and top each serving with sauce.
